Breakfast, Electronic and Scrap Metal Fundraising

A BIG thank-you to all those who came out to support us on Saturday morning! The amount of support (prayer and monetary) that you have given us is incredible. We raised $2500 between the breakfast and the Electronics drive.

We started off on Friday night by setting up the church and grocery shopping. Then some of the team went to John and Marlene's to cook the bacon and sausage. This took a little longer than they expected (11:30?) making them tired when they arrived at the church for 7:00 Saturday morning. We then put on a large pot of coffee, started scrambling eggs, making pancakes, and  setting out food. The breakfast ran smoothly and the amount of people that came through blew away our expectations. As people came in they dropped off their old electronics and filled up a dumptruck full to be recycled.

After the breakfast the guys headed off to take apart an old greenhouse to use for the scrap metal drive. They cut, pulled, piled, grunted, and groaned as they took apart the posts, arches and other greenhouse parts. They sorted through these, putting them in piles to come back to at a later date to load.

The next fundraising endeavor is the Vendor Fair on December 1.

To God be the Glory!
