Student Reflection: Ashley (Day 6)

My highlight of the day was definitely leading the crafts for the classes, especially the older kids. I was starting to get frustrated when we were leading the younger kids because they didn’t seem to understand the craft, but when my group went to lead the crafts for the grade seven class, the asked us if they could sing us a song. The song was in English and the teacher said that they had been practicing to sing the song for us for three months. It made me realize that the people here are just as excited, if not more excited for us to come here, and I realized just how appreciated we are here.
