Day 6

Today was our free day, so we went out and saw some of the surrounding countryside in the mountains. When we got back to the mission centre, it was very noisy and there was a carnival happening right in our parking lot.....

There was loud music, celebration and dancing, clowns and balloons and cotton candy, and hundreds of people celebrating. This is their way of life here lol. We had dinner but we could barely hear each other speak. During dinner, Terry went and told them that it was Bill`s birthday, so they called him out and sang happy birthday to him! Surprisingly they wrapped up and took down the carnival at around 6:45, and there was silence again (relatively so). After dinner we had our devotions, and had a really good chat. Then some of us went to get ice cream bars at a corner store / internet cafe. It was nice and cold and it hit the spot. Then we played some cribbage, and while we were playing, Ezekiel (Guido’s son) and his wife and baby arrived, so we met them.
