Prior to Departure - Devotions on James by Elisa and Brodie

For our Devotion, Me and Elisa shared about specifically James 1:4. We talked about the impact it has on our daily lives, and how this verse reminds us of how if we let perseverance pursue, we will not lack anything. We also talked about how while we are in the Dominican, we will face issues and problems, and we need to remember just to persevere, and that the Lord will watch over us.

"Let Perseverance finish it's work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything" James 1:4. We really liked how applicable to daily life this is, and how just a reminder can really improve your outlook on life.

Going into the Dominican, we are going to face problems. If we are prepared for obstacles and if we put our trust in God, we have nothing to fear, and we will come out of the trip more mature and stronger.

Prayer

Dear Lord, would you watch over all of the students and teachers going on this trip, and would you remind all of us constantly that you are with us, and that we have nothing to fear. Help all of us to turn to you through any of our struggles. Amen
