Day 4 in Zambia! I cannot believe how quickly the time seems to go.
It’s another beautiful morning with the promising outlook of clear skies and no rain. We’re not just looking forward to work and play. Today we will be meeting the chief of the territory. It is an honor to meet with him at his home. We learn and are reminded by him of the respect that is not asked but required towards him in the Zambian culture. A meeting that will not be forgotten.
There are numerous people here that make meals 3 times per day for us. Thank you to them for the wonderful job they do. It is truly delicious.
Volunteering our time at the project is essential but so is playtime. I’m not sure who enjoys it more, the child or volunteers.
I also was able to spend time on a classroom. It’s amazing the care and attention the teacher shows to the students.
A topic of conversation here has been the concern shown by one team member towards his chicken that he received. I believe if you see the classroom picture, other chickens are concerned too. Don’t worry Allan, I’m sure she is fine.
Our evening concluded with our continuing study in the book of Daniel.
Goodnight
