Todays' Blog post by Haley:
Three days after beginning to lay bricks, the outer walls are nearly complete.
Today, we continued mixing mortar and bricklaying. Some of us went out on supply excursions: hitching a ride on the ox cart for more sand or walking with the women who brought water for the mortar.
Going to get a load of sand!
In my case, it was the latter, inclusive of a small bucket of my own to try carry on my head.
My teammates and the locals alike were especially amused by this.
On site we worked hard, accidentally interfered with a classes midterms, and received innumerable fist bumps and handshakes.
On our way home we stopped for pictures of sunflowers and fruit that apparently won't ripen until October.
Our travels teem with beautiful views and lively conversations, and that pattern is followed from our morning devotionals and moments on the road to digging into market fruit and after supper Bible study.
We still learn new things every day about God, and life; about the work we do and the people we serve and serve with, and that is a great blessing.
