We discovered this morning that the steady bearing for the bus was fixed, so we should be good for the trip back to Malawi next week! God is Good!
This morning's breakfast and devotional time were truly enriching.
We delved into the topic of God's silence, reflecting on how it can be part of His divine plan. We discussed the importance of patience and trust, understanding that events unfold according to His timing.
Today's guiding scripture was Psalm 62:1.
Omelette's and oatmeal for breakfast!
Another fun trip aboard the rocking LandCruiser to get to Chimoza School!
Land Cruiser Ride! So many pedestrians! So many potholes!
The kids were exstatic when we arrived! So many "Makola's" rang out. It was sunny and beautiful, the bricklayers were already there, so we started up quickly moving bricks into place and mixing mortar for the day's work.
Mixing Mortar
We began helping the bricklayers and building up the corners first. The local talent knew exactly what they were doing, very skilled men!
Man was it hot in the sun, but thankful that we could get our hands dirty and get to the work.
After a great lunch served by the wonderful women of CCAP, we jumped back into the action. The pace picked up, and it was exciting to see real progress. By the end of the day, we had four corners started, with two of them fully done. Plus, we had an entire section of wall up, and the start of a second wall was beginning to take shape. Even with a mid-day shower slowing us down for a bit (being a great opportunity to visit with the kids!) we still got a lot accomplished today!
And all the while having a blast and visiting with the kids of Chimoza school! We were even treated to a local "baby clinic" where new mom's were taught some baby care and medicines and vaccines were given to the babies.
Troy making a lifelong friend!
