The team woke up bright and early this morning for a day of work after visiting schools yesterday. Even in the wet season, it is hot here, especially in the sun. But the team got right to work on finishing stripping the stucco and removing the flooring. It's heavy work, and there were many blisters, but the day was a success and we think we'll be able to commence construction on Monday. Since we've been without power, we tested charging some phones with solar panels and were pleased with the results. This blog post was brought to you via solar power!
Upon returning the to Guest House in the afternoon, the team was very happy to discover that power and water had been restored. Everyone, including this author, made haste for the showers. Once clean, the team spent some time strolling through the market and buying hot sauce. After spending our devotional time discussing suffering, the team is feeling ready for Sunday services.
