We listen, we learn, and then we give.
This is at the core of Special Emphasis Week at Woodland Christian High School (ON). Guided by their theme verse from Proverbs 22:9, "the generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor", Woodland chose to listen, learn, and give towards specialized teacher training and gardens in Malawi through EduDeo's Warm Heart Project campaign. These projects will provide students with visual and hearing impairments with two critical parts of their education: teachers who are equipped to support their unique needs, and nutritious food while they live on campus!
For Woodland, there were multiple opportunities to listen and learn from EduDeo’s videos, prayer requests from the country, and presentations from staff. The student body responded by giving through a school pancake breakfast, lunch auction, and even specially made t-shirt sales!
Across the country, Credo Christian High School (BC) hosted their own Missions Week. After one of their teachers joined EduDeo's most recent Discover and Learn trip for educators, they too chose to support the Warm Heart Project in Malawi. Credo made space for their students to listen, learn, and give through devotions, sharing, and videos from Malawi. Over the course of the week, students participated in events such as dodgeball, trivia, and even a "Tough-Mudder" to raise funds!
Both schools put the leadership into the hands of their students during the week. Student leadership teams planned, coordinated, communicated and encouraged their student body’s to participate in the activities and to give generously to the cause.
EduDeo is so grateful for the partnership of these schools who are powerfully living out the call to generosity and share what they have been given with others. Combined, these schools raised over $25,000 for the Warm Heart Project!
