Entry 8

Today was back to work again after a day of worship and resting. We started the day with breakfast at the site and then it was time to get to work. Parging the inside of the first classroom was the main task of the day. When we arrived there was an amazing sight of 4 teams of oxen pulling wagons full of sand for the cement. Stacy, Nico, and Darrell were treated to a 2.5 km one way wagon ride down to the river to get the next load of sand. Once scaffolding was in place and the work was ready to do there was mortar flying! The people working on the scaffolding had it down to a fine art. Balance and trust were an essential part of the task. After work today we were able to tour a few different homes in the local villages. We were welcomed into their homes to ask the locals about their way of life and in turn they asked us about life in Canada. The children enjoyed us visiting and started appearing from everywhere and followed us back to the school for a quick game of frisbee. We ended our day with another delicious meal and devotions.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support for the team. As we look towards tomorrow please continue to pray for safety traveling and on the work site. Also pray for continued health and open hearts and minds.
