Entry 2

First day at Ikwele primary school. We started with a short 45 minute bus ride and our breakfast was served at the school. After some initial interaction and introductions we were treated to a welcoming ceremony. There some traditional dance along with welcoming speeches and of course Hope 5 was also asked to give an attempt at a traditional dance. This followed by gales of appreciative laughter and a score 9.3 by Zambian judge!

To conclude the festivities their was an exchange of gifts. We received a foghorn leghorn chicken for 2 soccer balls. ( the chicken is already being prepared for lunch.

After a hearty lunch the team began cleaning and sorting bricks. It was good and everyone is in good spirits.
