A Week of Transformation at New Life School

A Week of Transformation at New Life School

July 17, 2026

By Dalila Makhwani

The visit of the Co-Impact Team to New Life School was truly a remarkable blessing and a week that brought great transformation to our entire school community from infrastructure to nurturing a school culture of service. From the moment the team arrived, their enthusiasm, dedication, and joyful spirit of service were evident. They came with willing hands and open hearts, ready to serve, build, and connect with our staff and students.

The team worked with great passion and unity. The team was led with encouragement and energy, creating a culture of service where every task was done with joy, teamwork, and a shared purpose. Her leadership helped guide the many projects that took place throughout the week and made a lasting impression on our school community.

Throughout the week, the team worked tirelessly on several important projects that greatly improved our school learning space. They repaired and refreshed the school library, creating a more welcoming and organized space where students can develop a love for reading and learning. The church benches were carefully restored, ensuring that both our students and the wider church community have a comfortable place for worship, devotion, and school gatherings.

One of the most special additions to the campus was the construction of bike rack and the restoration of the tree table. The team also painted sections of the school building, bringing new colour and life to our campus and creating a brighter and more inviting space for students and teachers.

In addition, they worked diligently to clean and organize the school store rooms, helping us create better systems for storing materials and supplies. The team installed protective bars on the upper floor of the building, an improvement that will benefit the school community for years to come. One of the most significant contributions was their involvement in the construction of the new bathroom facility. Their hard work and commitment played a major role in moving this important project forward, providing improved sanitation and comfort for our students.

While the physical improvements to the school are clearly visible and greatly appreciated, the greatest impact of the Co-Impact Team went far beyond construction and repairs. The team shared meaningful conversations, personal testimonies, and moments of fellowship with our staff and students. These interactions brought encouragement, inspiration, and a reminder of the power of community and faith working together.

Our students were excited to see people from different places come together with such generosity and kindness. They witnessed firsthand what it means to serve others with humility and love. The laughter, teamwork, and genuine care shown by the team created a joyful atmosphere throughout the week.

For our teachers and staff, the visit was also a time of learning and encouragement. The team not only helped strengthen our physical environment but also strengthened our sense of unity and purpose as a school community. It reminded us that education is not only about classrooms but also about relationships, service, and shared vision.

We are deeply grateful for the love, generosity, and dedication shown by the Co-Impact Team. Their willingness to serve has left a lasting mark on New Life School, not only through the improvements made to our facilities but also through the encouragement and inspiration they shared with our community.

This week reminded us that when people come together with a heart to serve and a shared vision for the future, meaningful and lasting change can happen. The impact of their service will continue to bless our students, teachers, and families for many years to come.
