What does it look like when your generosity moves God’s word from a printed page and into the hearts and imaginations of young learners? In Ghana, a refreshing movement is underway, and it is happening because you chose to invest in the spiritual development of local educators.
Passionate teachers can sometimes find themselves lacking the structured support, resources, or dynamic strategies needed to seamlessly integrate biblical truths into their teaching. This year, International Needs Ghana, EduDeo’s partner, requested funds to start exploring different strategies for Biblical learning with teachers.
Thanks to your support, staff from three schools (Amrahia Community School, Kpogede Community School, and the Centre for Empowerment and Enterprise Development) are now meeting regularly to explore Scripture together. The time invested in Bible study with these teachers has provided them with fresh ideas and practical tools.
These schools are already seeing an impact. They described it as a shift from passive listening to active, joyful participation.
At Kpogede Community School, Bible Club is elective. Attracted by the lively atmosphere, student membership grew from 23 to 65 active participants in a single quarter. Staff note that children are gaining the confidence to express their understanding, speak up openly in group discussions, and lead peer-to-peer learning.
One student shared that they are sharing God’s word with their friends. “Today’s Bible Club meeting has been super exciting. Even though I have been part of the club since last year, I have never experienced it this way before. It has left a lasting memory in my mind, and I will continue to teach my friends about God’s story.”
Through targeted arts and activities, complex theological truths are becoming the concrete foundations for their everyday lives. Another student explained their lesson this way, “I painted four flowers with different colours representing creation, fall, redemption, and restoration. I will always remember this and continue to tell my friends and family about it.”
When you empower local leaders, you aren't just sending materials; you are shifting the spiritual landscape of entire communities. Thank you for walking alongside our Ghanaian partners and making this life-changing work possible.
