The end of the school year always feels similar to the end of a calendar year for me.
It's an opportunity to look back and celebrate what's been accomplished and experienced over the last 10 months while making plans for the coming year.
While I can't share all the stories of classroom engagement I've had over the last school year, I do want to share a few highlights.
In the coming months, I'll be preparing for exciting things happening in coming school year, which includes hosting a Youth Summit, joining you at teacher conferences across Canada, and launching a new annual school campaign (more details to come!).
I pray you enjoy some much-needed time for rest and relaxation this summer season and look forward to connecting again soon!
Blessings,
--Laurie, EduDeo School Relationship Manager
Fifteen schools financially supported the Made To Thrive campaign, allowing more students in Ethiopia to receive a quality, Christ-centred education, and many more have provided support in the form of prayer and raising awareness.
I want to highlight the Grade 4/5 class at Dunnville Christian School. This class embarked on a year-long journey of understanding who they are in Christ and practicing showing empathy, kindness, and compassion for all people by growing in the knowledge of Ethiopia and building relationships with Ethiopian students their age. You can get a small glimpse of their journey here: https://edudeo.com/news/2023/06/20/prayers-for-peers.
This year we saw an untick of participation in EduDeo GO: School Edition, which is so exciting! Five schools hosted their own events, and two schools joined us for EduDeo GO: Ultimate Edition, a special version of an old favourite.
Learn more about this year's event by reading this article (including a fabulous video!) https://edudeo.com/news/2023/06/20/ready-set-go and email me if you're interested in getting involved in the coming year ([email protected]).
If you want to host your own event, you're welcome to do that anytime of the year. Visit https://edudeo.com/go-se for more information.
This spring Chrysalis subscribers received a series of emails about EduDeo's Youth Summit. Perhaps you've been wondering what came of it? We thrilled to announce that seven Grade 11 and 12 students from across Canada have been chosen to attend a 3-day conference in Hamilton, Ontario. I look forward to sharing more about the conference in the fall!
