Day 5

Another glorious day for the HANDS Team and Unity Presbyterian School in Belize City!  A pre-breakfast hike for five of the team, followed by another terrific meal prepared by Geraldine, Helen and Pastor Betson, then off to the school to continue the work started at the beginning of the week.  The cement crew laid down a 130 foot side walk in front of the school, the painting crew finished the primer coat on the new boy’s bathroom, and the tiling crew finished laying floor tiles in the cubicles in the new girl’s bathroom.  Hugs were plentiful from the students and we became more familiar with many of the staff, who are so appreciative of the work done to date.

It was a tiring and hot day, but spirits were high because of the work we managed to complete – and Murray didn’t bump his head or fall out of the bus today!
