After a relaxing weekend we were all raring to go today. We were at the work site by around 9 am. Soon the cement mixer showed up and boy did we put it to good use. We had to add a layer of cement to the boy’s and girl’s washrooms on the second floor. It was truly a team effort. With some local help, we got the cement mixed and shovelled into pails and by use of a pulley it was pulled up to the second floor bathrooms. Needless to say, it took a lot of pails of cement!! We also added a cement ceiling to the ‘soak-away’ under the school, and since we had extra cement we continued extending the new sidewalk to the edge of the property. Before the cement had even settled a local dog ran through. And then as the bus was leaving at the end of the day, the cutest little toddler headed to the fresh cement. We will see what it looks like in the morning. We came home sweaty, tired and very happy with the great day we had together. We look forward to a good meal and a good sleep. Pastor Betson says we can sleep in a little tomorrow and he will cook us “jacks” for breakfast.
