Hola Mis Amigos,
Greetings to all our friends from the Hands team in Belize.
It is the morning of our sixth day, and things are quiet on the patio of the Guest House. It was rather amazing evening last night
which included an amazing Lightening Display in the skies, following a tremendous downpour of rain.
Day Five was an incredible experience for our team and really highlighted why we, through EduceDeo Ministries, should continue to
partner with schools and communities in Belize. Our team spent the day interacting with students, staff and the communities of Presbyterian Day School
and Concepcion Primary School, two Christian schools in the northern territory of Belize. Each school community literally welcomed our team into
their schools with "open arms". The children, especially the younger ones, were thrilled to share their stories and hear about our lives in Canada.
It was wonderful to witness the interaction of us visitors and their school community during worship time, class lessons, soccer games and play time.
I was especially proud of our team as they powered through some intense heat, 37 C.
As a principal and educator, I was delighted to see how these two schools, and other Christian schools in Belize, are incorporating a curriculum framework similar to a growing
amount of schools in North America. The Teaching for Transformation Biblical Throughlinescontinue to be integrated into the daily lessons and development
of curriculum and school culture planning.
Today, we will return to Cornerstone Presbyterian High School to experience some Belizian culture through student and community demonstrations. Also, we hope to enjoy a much cooler day.
I would like to close with some verses from Romans 12: 9-13 which will be our theme for today, Love in Action: "Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction,
faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord's people who are in need. Practice hospitality". This is the Day that the Lord has made, let us be glad and Rejoice in it.
On behalf of my friends on this Hands Team,
Adios, Hasta La Vista
Al Bron, Team Leader
