Our day started at 4am after catching up on a little bit of sleep in Malawi. We travelled to our last border check and switched vehicles. Canadians pack a lot so our luggage had a separate vehicle that followed the 10 of us in an already cramped van. The next van we transferred to had some pretty good ingenuity to strap all our suitcases in the small space behind the seats
We then proceeded to Ikwele school where Barry, Jenn and Jerry worked on 8 years ago. Great to see that they are enrolling a lot more students with the help of extra room and the government allowing children to attend without fees. The struggle is finding and keeping teachers.
We have nicely settled into our new home for the next couple of days. All bags were accounted for and made it through high speeds and lots of swerving. Enjoying the luxury of air conditioning, warm water, and have already been blessed some amazing meals. Looking forward to a good night rest.
