We survived the second day!!

Everyone woke up refreshed and ready to work this morning. We were all so tired from the day before that we didn't even here the chickens outside our windows at night.  We boarded the bus on time so we could get a full days work done. The first classroom has been parged and the second one 3/4 done. The pails of cement seem to be getting heavier with each day.  It was a little hotter today, but that did not stop anyone from getting so much done.

The food they serve at the school has been excellent. Today we had rice with corn, beef, and potato salad. The women there work hard to keep us well fed and hydrated. Some of the school children made some wonderful crafts for us. They were all so beautiful that it was hard to choose which one we wanted to take home. We are so blessed to be here and work with the dominican people who are always so happy.
