AMG International exists to encourage, equip and develop Christ-centred national leaders to become instruments of Gospel advancement and community transformation.
About AMG Guatemala:
For more than 40 years, AMG International has been serving vulnerable families in Guatemala using careful strategies and holistic care. Their work is highly focused on education with strong Christian values, values that lead to strong families and communities. Through AMG’s sponsorship program, they are able to reach nearly 8,000 children and their families, in 30 communities across the country. Children receive food, education, medical care and more important than anything, lots of love. Together they seek to raise up Godly young men and women with purpose and vocation.
OUR SHARED MINISTRY
TEACHER TRAINING
Teachers are at the heart of education, so we always invest in them. Together, we provide workshops for AMG teachers on topics such as restorative practices, curriculum development, and incorporating the Gospel into specific subjects, like mathematics.
LEADERSHIP SUPPORT
Change starts at the top, so we also work together to support AMG leaders. Mentoring and coaching, specialized workshops on Christian school leadership, and funds for continuing education all equip leaders to model Christ and be the strong guides their schools need.
STUDENT SUPPORT
Christ-centred education at AMG schools should be accessible for all children and families, no matter their situation. Supports like tuition bursaries, parent support groups, and technology in the classroom provide kids with a holistic yet always accessible education.
