Good Evening if you are one of our dedicated followers, and good morning if you are a person with normal sleeping patterns.
Today was another magnificent day that started off right with a healthy breakfast of fried plantains, eggs, fruit and bread. After our breakfast we headed off to the worksite and started to prime, and prime, and prime. The morning was pretty uneventful with no kids at the school and surprisingly no injuries on the job.
We worked till lunch and took a prolonged break as the children from the neighborhood all gathered to distract us, they succeeded. After recovering from our strenuous playing we returned to our posts and resumed priming. Once the building was all primed we started to paint the upper half of the walls with a final colour coat, as the bottom halves will be painted with a heavier oil paint to protect if from the children’s hands.
When we returned to the mission center we had dinner and some of us went to our guide’s church for a worship service and to meet his family, and on the way home those who went with also were treated with a some tasty ice-cream.
Here is a video of the work we did today; it’s a time lapse of us as we painted its pretty nifty if you have 3 extra minutes to check it out.
