Compassion looks like wilted lettuce

July First found us at the soup kitchen cutting up veggies for a salad and serving the lunch meal. We delivered food items collected at church.  A tour of the shelter was also included. Some realizations included everyone has a story; what's to stop any of us from having to use the soup kitchen or the shelter.

I saw compassion manifested in the removal of a soggy lettuce leaf. "Their life is hard enough, the least we can do is offer a good salad."

Playtime tomorrow! A good part of the team and several other church members are heading to Fernie to do the Aerial Park followed by white water rafting the day after.
