We decided that we should, as did many Hands Teams before us, host a pig roast at the cattle barn restaurant of Adrian and Jane Vanderwier. This converted dairy barn is the perfect venue for a unique and enjoyable dinner.
Again, we enjoyed a wonderful day. The Lord blessed us with a marked improvement in the weather at exactly the right time, and the event was a huge success.
We (The Hands Team) provided all of the preparation and served the meal. We were pleased to welcome Rising Hope for the live entertainment, and we also had a great silent auction.
Again, thank you to all those who went above and beyond for this fundraiser. An event like this takes much work and cooperation and we are so thankful to all those who see this cause as a worthy one.
Approximately 200 people from the church and the community were served, and we are grateful for close to $10,000.00 that was raised!
