Meeting the King of Mwase

Hey everyone. It’s Brandon Kamphuis. Couple things to say here.

Today was another good day in Zambia. The weather is cooling off as we approach the rainy season.

We continue to slowly move onwards and upwards on the dormitory for the girls. I say slowly cause things here move at a much slower pace in general. We noticed today that we spent a lot of time having coffee breaks when we really just wanted to be givener. We’ve had to adjust our attitudes to the change of pace and roll with the more relaxed style of working.

At 11 this morning we went as a group to meet the chief of Mwase, Near where we are building. We needed to receive official permission from the chief because we are building in his village. It was an interesting experience to see so much respect shown to a government official.

The trip to and from the job site continues to be a blast despite the broken shocks on bumpy roads and sweaty tired smelly individuals.

We continue to soak up Gods work in this beautiful country, The open arms the Zambians have accepted us with, and Gods grace and protection as we continue to work side by side our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Till tomorrow, your friend in the pen, Brando
