A Day of Rest and Worship

Today we went to an English church in the morning  which is on the same property as the guest house we're staying in. That service lasted about 2 hours. We then walked to our next service which was in Tambuka (the local language here). The preacher had quite a different style than we are used to. The people  are so energetic, excited and just joyful about the gospel. There were a lot of amens and hallelujahs. That service also lasted about 2 hours for us (we even came late). It was a blessing to experience not just the differences in church worship, but also the similarities, and ultimately the time we could have to rest and worship God.

After the church services and quick cat nap for a few of us, all 14 members piled into our small range rover and drove out to a beautiful scenic area the locals called grinding pot. It was neat because the rocks had giant holes carved into them caused by natural erosion of soft rocks when the river rages during rainy season.  We volunteered sharing testimonies about God working in our lives and spent time praying for each other in a prayer circle.
