Hello this is Ashley and Sadie,
We woke up this morning at 6:00am to get a early start to the day. Most of the other people woke up at 6:30 to Coin singing in a high pitch voice. Breakfast was eggs, rice, watermelon and juice with bits.
We got to the school around 8:30ish and they gave us a beautiful devotions. They did a whole bunch of cultural dances from all grades and we even got to participate. he grade 11s without us knowing pulled us up to dance with them following their actions. We were all called up individually and received a gift from the school. Owen and Evie were unexpectedly called up to pray over Sebastian (A grade 5 student) for his birthday.
After we said our goodbyes to the kids and some of us were more popular than others (James (Aka BTS)) but we all got lots of hugs and pictures and some of the kids gave us cards and gifts. We also gave the kids our autographs.
Painting. It was a mess. We got paint all over the floor and we did exactly what Coin and the other leaders told us not to do. We got paint all over the floor and covered each other in paint fights (we had to use gas to get the oil paint off). But don't worry most of the paint ended up on the walls and the desks. Fun fact the paint was bright green and yellow.
Lunch was yummy. We had chicken, rice and pasta salad. "It was delicious" - Rylan. During eating a lot of us joined in on Stella Stella Olla and caught Coin eeping again.
More painting. This time more got on the walls than the people. We ended up painting around 40 chairs with 2 coats each and 3 and a half class rooms. We all got tired by the end and just stopped working left the work for the teachers and some students while some of us socialized.
We we stopped at La Union to get the last final snacks we needed to survive the rest of the trip. Including lots of bags of chips, pop and yogurt. We went back on the bus a once again we caught Coin eeping along with a lot of eeping photos of Coin.
We had dinner which was lasagna, salad and garlic bread. "scrumdiddly" - Devyn.
After dinner we practiced for the talent show. which involved a lot of singing, banging and dancing (more on that tomorrow).
Devotions held by Ashley and Emily which was awesome. And a great team meeting where we tried to barter for more time with the students.
Now we rushed to finish so that we can play mafia, but at least the lights are still on.
