Heyyyy guysss!!!
Today was WILD.
Point of interest numero uno: Beans for breakfast (surprisingly didn't smell the effects).
Point of interest numero dos: Soooo........ we were planning on hiking a volcano. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances regarding tremors, smoke, and caving in it on itself, we decided that might not be the smartest idea. But no problemo!! Instead we went to an old volcano that has now turned into a lake and had a lot of fun walking around the market there (buying gifts for you guys).
Point of interest numero tres: Took a sketchy, sweaty, crammed, bumpy, but fun truck ride up a extraordinarily steep hill to the "Canopy Tour Miravalle" where we were geared up with our harnesses, helmets, and a thick pair of leather gloves (our only way to slow down). Sometimes sitting (like a normal person zip-lining) sometimes supermaning (or womaning) and sometimes unexpectedly hanging upside down we propelled ourselves across the great rain forest. It was a lot of fun and our guides made it all the better with their enthusiasm. As we were driving back down the "extraordinarily steep hill" once again, we found out that the supposed "tree juices", as we were told by Mr. Beugelink, actually turned out to be cicada pee, which was quite concerning as most of us had felt it on our faces. Anywayyyy....
Point of interest numero cuatro: We had chicken. At a Nicaraguan version of KFC. Very good.
On to the point of interest numero cinco: We were taken on a great tour of Lake Nicaragua. Got to see some monkeys, a love-determining flower, and some islands owned by rich people. And of course sticking our feet over the edge of the moving boat into the water that we had earlier learned had freshwater sharks in it, but don't worry we all still have 9 toes.
Point of interest numero seis: Took another bus ride to a market in Granada and saw this insane dude carving anything you want on maracas in seconds. Crazy.
Point of interest numero siete: On the bus ride back we learned that our strong, capable, hard working, well organized, leader decided to take a well deserved beauty nap to restore his naturally glowing completion. But not without us secretly taking 0.5 photos of him for the record.
Point of interest numero ocho: We replenished our strength with some good old atomic pizza. (probably not what your thinking, again, all still alive and healthy).
Final point of interest numero nueve: The lovely day has come to an end, and we are all back at the Quinta Shalom trying to cool down, and after devos lead by Lynn and Lauren, we have decided to follow in our wise leaders ways and get some beauty sleep.

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this post and all about your adventures! It's nice to see additional photos that are different than what is being posted on Instagram! I'm so thankful that nobody was bitten by a monkey and that all members still have 9 toes in tact :) Covering you all in prayer.

What a fabulous day and unique experiences! A beautiful part of God’s world! Curious if those volcanic tremors were indeed the volcano or perhaps the beans doing their work… or Mr, B’s snoring?!? May God bless you as you meet the students and staff at school tomorrow!
