Hotel, Guests, Terremoto

Hola Amigos.

It's Lauren, Lyn and Hermon (the best footballers).

we woke up with Koen blasting music outside our room at 6:20 (which was 10 minutes earlier then yesterday), had breakfast, and headed off to centro de fe.

We got to Centro de Fe, and Sadie, Anora, and Rachel led devos and worship. Then, we presented our Indigenous presentation to the grade 1 to 8 classes, and went to their classrooms in groups of one or two to colour with them. It was really fun to bond with the kids because they had so much love to give. -Hermon

Then it was recess. During recess, all of the younger kids came up to us and hugged us. They didn't really say anything, but we could tell how happy they were from their smiles. We also played Stella Stella Ola. They caught on very quickly.

After recess we listened to Geneva, Devyn, Rachel, and Anora share their testimonies. Some students from the grad class of Centro De Fe also shared their testimonies, it was cool to see God at work in their lives.

After the testimonies we got to visit the houses of some of our friends. Me and Hermon got to visit Davids house. We learned that his grandpa is the pastor of the church at Centre De Fe. And his grandma who recently got in a car accident and broke her leg used to teach the grade 11s at Centre De Fe for most of her life. David and his dad boxed in front of us (David lost) and his aunt sang opera to us and his little brother preformed tap dance and plays piano. They are a very talented family and they all have an important role in the church. They also gave us a house tour and it turns out that Davids mom has a fancy nail salon and David's dad does 3D printing. When we were ready to walk back to Centre De Fe Davids grandpa offered us if we wanted to drive back in the back of his truck. So we did and it was so fun. - Lauren

I was in a different group for home visits. Me, Beugelink, Em, Ethni, and Anora first walked to Octavio's house. His family was so nice and when I was leaving my face was sore from smiling. Octavio has a pet bird, and his name is Toto. We probably spent like fifteen minutes trying to get him to talk to us, but the bird was shy. Afterwards, we went into his living room, where Octavio played the guitar and all the boys sang Amazing Grace. They sang their heart out. It was one of my favourite parts of the day because it was really cool to worship the same God together in different languages. Octavio's mom also gave us so much fruit to eat, and it was really really good. - Lyn

Me and Lauren's group got back earlier from our home visit than everyone else because we got a shortcut by sitting in the back of the truck. So our group went upstairs and started to scrape the walls off to prep for painting on Thursday and Friday. It was really hot but Morgan Wallen helped thanks to Ryland. -Hermon

when we got back to the school, I started to play a bunch of games with the girls. There was this one game where they would sing and we had to run in a circle through their arms and try not to get trapped. If we got trapped, we had to choose a fruit (person) and go behind that person. After the teams are made, it was a competition of strength. we were holding each other by the waist and trying to drag the opposite team our way. This probably doesn't make much sense, because to be honest I didn't know what was going on half the time. But it was so fun. I also really got to know to of the girls and I LOVE THEM SO MUCH.

This somehow morphed into this very intense game of arm wrestling. Let me just say that I flexed my muscles and everyone loves me now. Also I beat Lauren without trying. And all the girls too. Mr Reimer is really strong.

We ended our visit at CDF by playing this game called "hotel, guests, earthquake". it was so intense. IT WAAS SO FUN THOGUH. i love Nicaragua and I love all my friends. -Lyn

PS we have to go now because someone just turned the lights off and we don't have any more time. we r going to play mafia. Adios AMIGOSS:)))) -LAURREN HERM LYN
