Celebrating 2025

Celebrating 2025

By Oluwabunmi Amosu

As we step into the new year, our hearts are full of gratitude for God’s faithfulness and excitement for what’s ahead. With hope and joy, we look forward to a year of global collaboration, impact, and growth as we walk alongside educators, leaders, and supporters like you.

Teacher and Leader Training

This year, educators and school leaders in Belize, Burkina Faso, the Dominican Republic, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Indonesia, Malawi, Nicaragua, and Rwanda will participate in EduDeo’s Walking Together program. Through workshops and training sessions, educators explore ways to bring Christ’s love and truth into classrooms and communities. Training topics range from how to care for students (Burkina Faso) to governance and strategic planning for boards (Rwanda). By meeting educators in their own languages and contexts, we can better encourage and equip them to serve their students with excellence and purpose.

Connections through Conferences

In 2025,  we will continue to build relationships between EduDeo’s international partners and the global Christian community through conferences and other global gatherings. Eight educational leaders from our partners in Belize, the Dominican Republic, Ethiopia, Guatemala, and Rwanda will attend Converge 2025, an international Christian education conference in the United States. Converge will allow these leaders to learn new teaching strategies, connect with other educators from around the world, and strengthen their leadership skills. It’s our prayer that they will share their unique experiences with other educators and return home inspired to implement new ideas in their schools and communities.

Co-Impact Teams 2025

This year, eleven Co-Impact teams will continue building meaningful relationships with communities around the world by supporting the construction of critical school infrastructure projects, including: .

  • Abbotsford Christian School: This year marks ACS’s 15th year of participating in the Co-Impact program. They will travel to Nicaragua to continue building upon their long-standing partnership with Centro de Fe School.

  • Quinte Christian High School: Quinte is a new school joining the Co-Impact program this year, serving alongside our partners in the Dominican Republic!

  • Guido de Bres Christian High School: This team is returning to Belize for a third year after years of serving alongside our partners in Nicaragua. This year, they will serve at Presbyterian Day School, helping construct the second level of a new classroom block.

  • Hope 2025: Team members are coming from Calgary, Ontario, the United States, and Chile to support the construction of a 1x2 classroom block at Chimoza Primary School in Zambia!

  • London Christian High School: As a part of their high-school class curriculum, students from LCHS will be spending four weeks with our partners in the Dominican Republic! They will support construction and community service projects while in country.

Co-Impact teams are a powerful example of how service, partnership, and Christ-centred action can create opportunities for schools and communities to be transformed.

Prayer requests for a new year

As we start this new year, we invite you to pray with us that:

  • Teachers around the world will feel supported and encouraged as they bring Christ’s love into their classrooms.

  • School leaders will find strength and renewal as they guide their communities.

  • Students across the world will encounter Christ in their education and grow in the image of God.

  • For the safety of volunteers and team leaders traveling to serve in communities around the world.

 Here’s to 2025!
