We are deeply grateful for Woody Nook's support over the years of EduDeo’s work in Nicaragua. Your annual support starting in 2008 has touched countless lives with the gospel and a quality, Christ-centered education.
Nicaragua is one of the 13 countries that we work in, supporting teachers, schools and students. This year, in addition to your work supporting school construction, we’d like to invite you into the work of training teachers in Nicaragua.
Walking Together is a cornerstone initiative that equips educators around the world to lead Christ-centered learning in their school communities.
The program emphasizes both international teacher connections and adaptable local level support.
Nilda Navarrete, whom many of you know and have met, facilitates the teacher training programs at the Nehemiah Center in Nicaragua. The Church and School program that she leads has 17 schools, 200 hundred teachers and 4,000 students. Every year, principals and teachers receive both local and international trainings at the Nehemiah Center. The international training will generally involve two teachers coming from Canada to lead a four day workshop. Some of the topics included are Biblical Worldview, sharing leadership, knowing ourselves as teachers and Christians and knowing our students. By investing in these principals and teachers, we ensure that Christ-centered schools become spaces where faith is lived out daily, strengthening the school’s witness.
