Preparations and Good Work

With just over a month to go before our departure, our team continues to work hard at our preparations for the trip.  The boys have many commitments in thelr Grade 12 lives, and yet they have chosen one more important commitment - to this service team.  It has been inspiring watching them arrange rock picking teams and other fundraisers over the past few months.  They have demonstrated again and again that old addage that work is good and good work is very good.

The letter of James reminds us that 'as the body without the spirit is dead so faith without works is dead also.'  Perhaps that reminder should be the theme verse of our team as we work here in anticipation of working side by side with the members of the Unity Presbyterian School in Belize City.

Our immediate goal is to finish our fundraising the week.  Then we will endeavor to finish the school year well and begin to pack.

We hope to create one more blog entry before we fly.
