Woodland 2012 Belize Hands Team

Our small but highly motivated Hands team for 2012 is now working away at the fundraising part of project.  Lead by Andrew Koetsier, the boys have formed a rock picking team and have been working twice a week for farmers in the Drayton area.  This fundraiser is an exciting new addition to the fundraising ideas that we have had in the past.  We have been able to raise more than $3000 of the $16,000 that we need to raise as a team from this revenue source, and that has been an excellent development.  We also hope to host another volleyball tournament fundraiser at the end of May.

As you can see from our team photo, there will be no need for a Girls Washroom for us on this service trip.  While we may be a small team in numbers, we are pretty excited about the ability of our team to work hard and well.

We are very excited by the support that we have already experienced as a team and we continue to plan and work to make this trip a success.  We also hope to update this blog every other week so that our supporters can see how our plans are developing.

Talk to you again in two weeks.
