Day 1 & 2

After a long day of flying we made it to Nicaragua around 9:30 p.m. We had an early morning and left for the jobsite at 7:30 a.m. It was about a half hour drive to the jobsite from the Nehemiah centre.

For the 5 of us that have been to Nicaragua before, it was so nice to see so many familiar faces. It was great to meet some of the children as well as the crew, principal, and pastor.

There was a lot of digging where the guys had to dig out a few large tree roots, which was difficult in the heat and with the dry ground. The ladies and a couple Nicaraguan workers tied rebar all day.

We ended the day with delicious fresh mangoes.

Came back for a refreshing shower, devotions, and games. Looking forward to another day of work tomorrow!
