After a very good sleep, we were up early, 5:00 am at home. After breakfast, we headed to the school. We are so glad that Daniel is driving. We spent our day doing some clean up of 3 of the upstairs classrooms, and sifting sand and gravel. The cleanup involved removing wood, cement bricks, and getting the gravel/old parging material off the floor. We carried oodles of buckets down19 stairs. We are sore in places we never knew would hurt, but satisfied with our accomplishments and the progress we saw at the end of the day.
Our team is gelling together well. Everyone seems to get along. We are a "get 'er" done kind of group. Celine's the boss today.
Some of the things we are looking forward to for next week:
-the kids at school on Monday
-church tomorrow and exploring old town in the afternoon
-looking forward to seeing a different culture and a different way of teaching.
We are very tired, and heading to bed. Thought we'd never say say this at 9:00 pm. We've been ready for bed since 6:00 pm.
