Viernes =Friday

Friday we travelled to Santo Domingo. There we went to the head office of La Iglesia Christiana Reformada. That is the Christian Reformed Church. We meet a few people who work for Sinergia-the ministry that oversees the school where we worked. Then we went to a place to buy souvenirs, then to the colonial part of town and we went into the oldest Catholic Church from the time of Christopher Columbus. We had lunch in the colonial district. The climax of the day was the ride in the gondola. It was so so cool being up in the air looking down on the city. We were really enjoying it and were almost at the end when the ride came to a complete stop. After twenty minutes the boys gondola 🚠 got to the station to be let out but the girls sat in that thing suspense over the city for 1.5 hours! Needless to say we were glad to finally get out!

Next we stopped at a grocery store that was similar to a large Walmart. Back to the hotel, had supper and then a time to reflect upon our week. It has been an amazing week for each member of the team. We came without knowing what to expect and have been so blessed by everyone here and also among the team.

We are so thankful to Jesus for this experience. We are so thankful to everyone who has supported us in prayer, financially, and physically
