Started today with breakfast and an introduction from Mario on COCREF and what we would be doing for the next 10 days. Leaving here at 9:00am we arrived at Renacer school at 9:30 after driving through the crazy (normal) traffic of the small town. After spending part of the day cleaning up the second floor of the school, we carried up the some 350 concrete blocks required to begin reconstruction of the second floor. After a delicious lunch, some of the guys started laying some of the concrete blocks and the rest of us did more cleaning up. Andrew (who flew in from BC) arrived at mid afternoon to join us as well. After unloading another 450 blocks from a truck, by late afternoon we left to head to our DR home. After another 30 degree day, we were all looking forward to swimming in the large pool that is at our residence this year and another delicious meal.
