On the Road Again

We woke up again early yesterday  to get ready to begin our final travel days. We had a nice breakfast then headed to the School for one last visit  goodbye. Along the way we dodged traffic to get a photo op by the Sebeco sign, which was located in the middle of a fork intersection. We got to the school and said final goodbyes to the work crew working on the project with us. Then at 9:00am we went into the church for a goodbye presentation where songs were sang, a grade 1 student sang us a song and some grade 5’s did a dance for us. The pastor then spoke and thanked us for taking the time to help with their school. The school presented us with Thank You T-Shirts that show the link we share with them. We as a group sang Oh Canada to them and as we sang we were swarmed with student to give us hugs goodbye. We slowly made our way out of the church with more hugs goodbye, hugs continued till we were all at the van and poor John had a hard time closing the gate to the school as kids wanted a final hug. Then we were on the road again. We flew back to Houston for the night and then had a 14 hour layover where we checked into a hotel to get a good night sleep. Up again early this morning to catch our final flight to Calgary where we arrived safety to a waiting Lonely Cars John who drove us safely back to Edmonton to our families and friends waiting for us at Covenant.

We all have been richly blessed on this trip, for some it was their first trip, and for some it maybe their last trip. We can see God working in the lives of the student, teachers and all of us . The passion that the teachers have working with the students and the students learning about God’s love for them is  beautiful. Peter and Nilda from EduDeo kept us safe though our travels and have a passion for the school partnership and construction within Nicaragua. Building this part of the school will help the school and church apply for them to start offering education for High School students which is something that they currently don’t offer. God is Good - All the Time.
