WE ARE HERE!!

We made it!  We are so excited to be here in Nicaragua!

The day of traveling was a smooth (albeit long) day!  Having little to no sleep at all before the night before the trip began, we handled the long day well!  We are so thankful that everything went smoothly!

We had no problems with all of our luggage, and no delays or mechanical issues on either flight … wahooo!   The biggest challenge was the 7 hour layover in the Houston airport!  We filled the time as creatively as possible …. Eating … walking numerous  laps around the entire airport , riding the train back and forth from concourse to concourse, performing a Harlem Shake on the train, wrestling lessons from Sam, card tricks, card games, sleeping, riding the moving walkways, performing the “bicycle” on the moving walkways as well as many other creative performances on the moving walkways, and WILD games of Dutch Blitz!

After our second flight we landed in Managua.  All luggage arrived safely, and we were greeted by our hosts, Peter and Trudy Kuipers (from Lacombe) and Lester, one of our interpreters.  Because we are such a large group, we are traveling on a bus!  … An hour later, we arrived at the Nehemiah Center, unpacked and settled in … And began to let the reality sink in that we are FINALLY safely here!   We are feeling incredibly excited and blessed!   …. And …. Tired!   We are retreating to bed!  Goodnight!
