Home again.

First of all, an apology for not posting Wednesday and Thursday. We are home again after a long day of travelling. God has been so good!

Wednesday morning a little slow, as we realized this was our last day of work. We started the day at a snail pace, but slowly picked up. 

Alyssa and I started watering all the flowers around the NCA Matagalpa property. Steve and Harry continued grouting along the hallway, and everyone else spent their time in the bathroom… painting. :O)

It is a well-known fact that if you give Alyssa a hose, she is going to blame Alyson for a water fight. Okay, I am the one who “started it” but Wednesday morning not only consisted of working. Let’s just say some of us did not need a shower when we left the school.

Hearts were heavy as we left Matagalpa for the last time. Our last 2 and a half hour drive listening to Africa by Toto. (And experiencing Lester’s amazing driving!)

Back at the Nehemiah center we spend some time debriefing, watching the soccer game, and spending some quality time with one another. Nathan and Kim came one last time with the kids, bringing us a delicious dinner of pizza.

Thursday we woke up to a beautiful day, had breakfast, and then said good bye to the Nehemiah center. Our day was spent travelling, hanging out in Houston, and sleeping on the airplane.

Our Lord has blessed us richly. Pray for us as we are now back in the “comforts” of home. That He gives us peace, as well as that our fire for Him continues to blaze.
