As a team, we are traveling to Nicaragua with EDUDEO Ministries with their School2School and HANDS Program. The School2School Program has linked us to a partner school in a Nicaragua (Centro De Fe Vida Nueva... or the Centre of Faith and New Life), encouraging international relationships based on mutual trust to deepen understanding of God's work through His people around the world. The purpose of this program is that, as our school learns about the culture, history, and way of life in a developing country, our school will discover the rich way God has worked through that country to create valuable members of the body of Christ. Our hope is that we will notice many differences between Canada and Nicaragua and realize that these differences provide unique testimonies of God's love and faithfulness. Through this, we may also notice one great similarity: God's presence. By identifying and accepting such differences and similarities, we can begin to build an exciting relationship based on reciprocal sharing and learning with Centro De Fe Vida Nueva. As part of the HANDS program we are going to be painting an addition to an existing school in Nicaragua called Divino Salvador.
