Who organizes Road2Hope?

What are the race routes?
Road2Hope races begin and end at Confederation Park (Hamilton, ON). There are race events for all activity levels - from the 1 KM Kids Race all the way to the Full Marathon. You can find maps and details about each of the races here: https://www.hamiltonmarathon.ca/the-races
Does my registration fee count as fundraising?
No. When you register through EduDeo, your registration fee covers the cost of your participation in the race, as well as things like race shirts, medals, and bibs. Registration fees are not eligible for a tax receipt, and do not support EduDeo's fundraising goals for the race event.
How do I get a race shirt?
Participant shirts will not longer be issued as a part of registration. In an effort to reduce waste, the Hamilton Marathon Road2Hope will now ONLY be providing participant shirts for those who pre-order and pay for them. Shirts are included in the Family Rate for those that select race options that include shirts. Shirts can only be guaranteed for registrations completed by October 1, 2024.
What is the Family Rate?
The Family Rate provides a family of up to 2 adults and 4 children with the opportunity to participate in race events at a reduced rate. The Family Rate includes access to the same benefits as other rates, including access to the race event, bibs, medals, and (when selected) shirts.
How do I register for multiple races?
We love your enthusiasm - you are a rock star! You will need to register for each race event individually, and you will need to pay the fee per race.
Where do I pick up my race kit?
You will be able to pick up your race kit from Runner's Den (860 King St W, Hamilton, ON L8S 1K3). Instructions with dates and times will be sent to in late October. If you are unable to pick up your race kit prior to the race, they'll be ready for you to pick up on race day at Confederation Park at the EduDeo booth (within the registration tent). We ask that all half and full marathon runners make plans to pick up their kits by Saturday.
Can I pick up a race kit for someone else?
That's so kind of you! Absolutely. Please bring the name and confirmation of the person you wish to pick up for.
On the day of the race, where do I park?
Free parking is available for all participants and race-watchers at Confederation Park. Please allow yourself a lot of extra time to park your vehicle as it can be slow especially close to the start of the race.
Will there be bag check available?
Bag check will only be available for those participating in the half and full marathon - this is located in the registration tent. For those participating in the 1 KM Kids race, the 5 KM, or the 10 KM, we encourage you to leave your personal belongings in your vehicle or with a family member or friend.
Can I run with headphones?
For sure! Please simply remain alert to other runners and spectators while you run.
Can I run with a stroller?
We love seeing families at Road2Hope! Strollers are allowed during the 1 KM Kids race, the 5 KM and 10 KM. For safety reasons, strollers are not allowed during the half or full marathon.
I don't feel well on race day. What are my options?
We understand that things happen, and runners might become sick or injured near race day and unable to participate. As Road2Hope is facilitated by Runner's Den, EduDeo follows their policy and is not able to refund registration rates. However, registrations can be transferred to other runners.
