I along with my husband of almost 49 years have been retired for 11 years. We have 2 children, 5 grandchildren and a second great grandchild on the way. Over the years my husband and I have worked together in our own businesses and also we have worked on some of the same job sites for other contractors. After retirement we had the desire to go out and help others that were in need of help during times where disasters had struck. Through our church we contacted World Renew and immediately were called to help out. God gave us the desire and the strength to continue that work for 10 years. We also were blessed to be involved with rebuilding with Habitat for Humanity in several locations. Through the years, in different environments and interacting with others, I have felt very blessed by the people we have helped and I pray that I can be a blessing to the community we will work with in The Dominican Republic.
