About Me

Hello, I am Alice Vanderkooy, former teacher of French As A Second Language and Guidance Counsellor at Toronto District Christian High School. I believe that the goal of Christian education is to teach our children that the Lordship of Christ has an impact on how we see the world and our place in it. Christian education, both at home and at school, should give children a growing understanding of their place in this world and how they can use their gifts in the service of God and others.

I am happy to be joining EduDeo this December in their Walking Together Program in Haiti, along with Diane Stronks. CRECH (Consortium pour le renforcement de l’éducation chrétienne en Haïti) invited EduDeo to partner with them in developing leaders to become ambassadors for Christ-centred education in their schools. We will be continuing the work begun last December by Robert Koole and Fran Joosse, of equipping and building capacity in Learning Leaders so they can, in turn, work with their colleagues.

Please join us in this mission, praying that God's Spirit will guide us as we meet and learn from each other.
