About Me

Diane Stronks and I are heading back to the Dominican Republic to continue working with a terrific group of educators. We will be offering what you could call a relational pedagogy, empowering participants to use circle processes to enhance learning within the classroom and with staff.

I am the Director of Restorative Practice Services with Shalem Mental Health Network. I am a certified facilitator and trainer with the International Institute for Restorative Practices (IIRP). The training participants will receive is an IIRP training.

I have extensive experience facilitating restorative processes for schools as well as for faith communities, families and workplaces.

Diane, also a certified facilitation and trainer with the IIRP, and I will offer participants pedagogical approaches they can immediately apply to their classroom settings and develop in ways that make sense to their own day-to-day experiences.

Our Walking Together project brings a vision of a learning community that upholds the value of everyone - children, staff and of the wider community, i.e., families, churches, workplaces, friends and neighbours.

Our project is Christ-centered, learning-centered, relationship-centered, compassion-centered, community-centered and life-centered.

Supporting our project supports a wide learning community. Supporting our project is an investment in the present and in the future.

We welcome your support. Many thanks!
