About this Project

2017 brought forward a new partnership experience for EduDeo Ministries. It developed out of a direct request and interest from International Needs Ghana in their desire to train Facilitator Leaders from their 12 schools in a deeper understanding of what it means to teach from a Christian perspective.

From January 23 - 27, 2017, Learning Leaders Darlene Eerkes and Elco Vandergrift gathered with 16 educators from International Needs Ghana schools in Adidome, Ghana to explore aspects of a Biblical worldview and its implications for Christ-centred education in their local context.

This learning event was capped by participants developing some of their own strategies to begin implementation. By using a number of different strategies, workshop participants engaged in “living the Biblical story”.  Based on the stories and workshop evaluations, the workshop was a success and a new interchange of ideas and support is now underway.

Faustina Boama-Yorke, the team teader at Kpogede Community School, shared:

“This week has been an exciting week. I have learnt that I am part of God’s amazing story. The most important thing for me is that in all our curriculum, there is God’s story. My duty is to reveal these throughlines and impress it on to the hearts of the children, so as to transform their lives.”

EduDeo is excited to further explore how this partnership will unfold.
