About this Project

Linda and Gary travelled to the Dominican Republic to continue the development of specific trainers. They helped to enable these trainers to train teachers in the Christian schools of the DR (under both COCREF and Samaritan Foundation).

Their focus was on how to implement a biblical worldview in the Dominican Republic’s Social Studies program. After having been introduced to looking at social studies from a transformational biblical worldview, participants worked in small groups to apply their learning to topics in the DR curriculum.

Participants, directors and leaders of COCREF schools, as well as teachers and leaders representing Samaritan Foundation schools worked on teaching units which formed the basis of workshops they will do at various locations as determined by the leadership of COCREF.

It is truly exciting to include participation of representatives from the wider circle of Christian schools in the Dominican Republic. This is a wonderful step forward in drawing together others who are also working at developing Christian schools in their cultures!

After the training session was completed, COCREF reported:

We thank the people of EduDeo and Gary and Linda for their unconditional dedication to our program through the training that our leaders have done. We pray to God to bless them and renew their energies every day which we already know will always be aimed at promoting Christian education that lead to the formation of associates of the Kingdom of Heaven.
