About this Project

The significant number of recent newly-appointed principals within Presbyterian Church Schools in Belize (PCSB) has created a window of opportunity for a focused strengthening of educational leadership. An opportunity exists for those new educational leaders to grow together in a deeper understanding and daily implementation of a principalship grounded within a biblical context.  It would centre on the key elements of being a principal, focusing on the day-to-day practicalities, issues and decisions that they inevitably will encounter and have to make. PCSB has made a commitment to structure their next three annual principals’ conferences to make such an opportunity a reality.

This year’s conference will feature PCSB veteran principals sharing important lessons they have learned, and the exploration of the following foundational educational leadership topics: Biblical leadership, Biblical worldview, the role of the Bible in the Christian school, knowing yourself, preparing for conflict, the relational role of the principal, and school culture.

Subsequent conferences will delve into the issues of making decisions, improving teachers, hiring and dismissing teachers, assessing student learning, planning curriculum, strengthening pedagogy, leading change, learning in the 21st century, and creating a professional learning community.

Christian principals in Belize will be walking with EduDeo educational leaders, learning together about leadership that serves to strengthen their Christian school communities.
