Visitors from Belize!!

Until recently, none of us knew very much about Belize or the school where we will be serving at, but last week we had the opportunity to learn more about San Narciso and the Redeemer Presbyterian School from people who actually live and work there!

During our most recent team meeting, we were given a very special opportunity to meet with 2 school representatives from Belize who were here to tour the local school and attend conferences. Alvaro is the current pastor of the church we will, Lord willing, be attending during our trip in January, and he is also the supervisor of 8 schools in that area. Yadira is the current principal of a high school close by the Redeemer pre-school we will be visiting. Both representatives were very willing to tell us all about their home country, answering any questions we had about the work we would be doing, and even about the general culture and life in Belize!

They assured us that we would enjoy our stay there, including the wonderful weather, and the opportunity to interact with so many children. They view the students at their schools as their children, which makes us even more thankful for the opportunity we will get to know their extended family during our trip!

Now that we know a little more about where we'll be going, we're even more excited to see how God will work through us on this trip!
