This is Us!

In the months leading up to this blog post, our trip to Belize seemed unreal. It was just a place in Latin America that we'd be going to sometime in the future. We had a few vague ideas about where we'd be working and who we'd be working with, but nothing concrete.

Now, we have finished our applications and profiles. We've chosen our flights. We've started our fundraising. We are three and a half months from our departure date, and this trip has become a reality. We are going to Belize!

We are John & Marg Roukema, Jake & Lee Bredenhof, Steve and Chelsea Leyenhorst, Ron and Jenna Faber, Erica and Mikah Feunekes, Cody Huttema, Chloe van Vliet, Kiara Louwerse, and Eve Buikema. We are from Reformed churches throughout the Fraser Valley, Washington State, and even from Ontario. We are high schoolers, university students, and workers. We are single, dating, and married. Though we come from different backgrounds and stages in life, we have come together to serve God and the people of San Narciso, Corozal, Belize.

This is just the beginning of our story, and a lot more is coming. May God bless our preparations, and may we glorify Him in all that we do!

Stay tuned!
