FUNdraising has begun! And, yes, it’s been FUN ! :-) From selling apple crisps and stroopwafels at our local fair, then taking outside orders from our family and friends for more of the same, we have done two fundraisers back to back - and we have another one planned for next month and another the following month as well . . . and everybody is trying to come up with more ideas to keep going! We are so very grateful to many of our family, church and otherwise, who have been so helpful in the fundraising process already!
Working together, we hope to raise all the money needed to make our trip to El Viejo possible. The money we raise will be used for many different things, including funds to pay for local workers to supervise the site and purchasing the materials needed for the project. Some of the funds will also help cover the costs of our flights, accommodations, food and in-country transportation,and is used as wages for local people who are employed to host us in the community.
